Tonight, take a stroll along Frisco’s Main Street for the 2019 Winter Walk. This evening, from 5:00 – 8:00pm, local businesses will be open late and serving treats, refreshments, and a few discounts, to kick off the winter season and celebrate with friends and valued customers. Get into the holiday spirit and support our local merchants by coming out for this wonderful event. It’s the perfect snowy afternoon, so Main Street will look extra magical.
Keep it local this holiday season
Living in a resort community, where tourists can make the act of grocery shopping a challenge, it’s easy to hop online and do our holiday ordering. However, when we do that, we miss out on the opportunity to support our friends, neighbors and community. The small shops and businesses on Main Street, Frisco, and other places around the county, not only offer unique gift items, but a social experience. In a time when connecting with friends and neighbors is more often done on social media or via text message, shopping in town provides a way to reconnect in person. Small merchants provide gathering places in addition to merchandise. They help foster community, an extremely important commodity during the long days of winter.
